The dogleg to the left is an adequate opening hole. Not overly tricky it still demands appropriate focusing. The ideal line off the tee is towards the left fairway bunker. Don’t try to play over the left corner; it’s not worth the risk. The shot to the green should be aimed rather to the safer left side. Thus the deep bunker defending the green on the right side can be avoided.
